Day 01:                Arrive at Kathmandu 1,300m and transfer to Hotel.
Day 02:               Sightseeing tour and trek preparation.
Day 03:               Drive to Soti Khola 730 m – 05hrs
Day 04:              Trek to Machha khola 930m – 06 hrs
Day 05:              Trek to Jagat 1,410m – 06 hrs

Trip detail:

Day 01:                  Arrive Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
On reaching Kathmandu international airport via respective airlines and countries, received by Foot and Shadow Walking Holiday staff and transfer to hotel in the heart of Kathmandu city, after getting refreshed our guide will brief with information on hotel, culture, do’s and don’ts and around Manaslu trek with welcome dinner.

Day 02:                 Sightseeing tour and trek preparation.
After breakfast our city guide will take you on sightseeing tour at places of interest as Kathmandu valley full of world heritage sites with temples, monasteries, stupa’s and old king’s palace after an enjoyable interesting tour back to hotel, preparation for Manaslu trek.

Day 03:                                  Drive to Soti Khola 730 m via Arughat 600m – 07 hrs journey.

Morning taking a drive to Soti Khola through Arughat village, to begin this wonderful adventure to around Manaslu, drive lead around warmer area passing many farm villages and towns and farm fields, following Trisuli river for few hours as the drive leads to Arughat via Dhading besi, on reaching Arughat on the shelf of Buri-Gandaki river. From here take a jeep ride for few hours on the rough dirt road to reach Soti Khola for overnight stop, a small farm village by the stream called Soti Khola.


Day 04:                 Trek to Machha khola 930m – 06 hrs.

From this nice village, walking on good trail following Buri Gandaki River upstream passing many farm areas and villages, then crossing over Nuali khola overlooking beautiful cascading waterfalls, walk leads on stone steps crossing a river to Machha Khola for overnight stop. This village named as Machha Khola meaning Fish streams.


Day 05:                 Trek to Jagat 1,410m – 06 hrs.

After a nice stop at Macha Khola morning walks follows Buri Gandaki River upstream, to reach at Khorla Beshi a small farm village from here on pleasant winding path to reach Tatopani “Hot Spring,” here an opportunity for a hot bathe as time permitting, after a nice rest here walk carry’s on passing villages of Dovan and Yaruphant, following the river to reach Jagat village, after crossing a short suspension bridge, this is a moderate size farm villages with shops and stores.


Day 06:                 Trek to Dyang 1,800 m – 06 hrs.

From Jagat, journey continues to higher encountering many small farm villages of Sidibas Bazaar, which is pretty village, after rest then a short climb with downhill crossing over suspension bridge to reach at Nagjet, then climb up to Philim, a large village with scattered farm houses, from Philim trek onwards through farm terraces of golden fields of wheat’s and barley, then a climb on rocky ridge top into bamboo forest area to our overnight stop at Dyang village.


Day 07:                 Trek to Ghap 2,160 m – 04 hrs
Dyang onwards into cooler area where one can feel the altitude, entering Himalayan alpine region, morning walk continues with a descend towards a river side to reach Bihi Bazaar a small village near river side, the area from here onwards of more Tibetan influence with Tibetan culture, walk leads on gentle trail with few short ups and downs till Ghap village is reached for overnight stop.


Day 08:                  Trek to Lo Gaon 3,180 m – 06 hrs.

From Ghap village with pleasant walk along Budhi Gandaki River, crossing the river through scattered small farm villages and cultivated farm fields of barley, wheat and millets then reaching at Numrung village with super views of Mt. Manaslu North Face with adjoining peaks, walk continues passing few villages of Banjham, Lhi and Sho, then with an altitude gain, an hour up to Shrip village and then reaching our overnight stop at Lo Gaon.


Day 09:                  Trek to Samagaon 3,530 m – 05 hrs

After Lo Goan, feel the altitude gain with much cooler temperature, from here tree lines fades for few short juniper bushes and willow trees, walking gradually on a nice trail with views of snow capped peaks and finally reaching Samagaon a large mountain village located on the route Manaslu base camp and Larkya-la pass including way to Tibet border.
Day 10:                  Rest day in Samagaon for acclimatization.
An important rest or free day for good acclimatization before heading high areas and to Larkya-la pass, on this free day explores the villages with short hike around.
Day 11:                 Trek to Samdo 3,860 m – 05 hrs
Today walk for 4-5 hours, heading towards last village at Samdo which is lies close to Tibet border, people here been trading with Tibet when Tibet was a free country, but the trade still goes on till present one can find many Chinese goods.


Morning walk leads with gradual climb into dry barren country with views of snowcapped peaks and then finally ending the day walk at Samdo village for overnight stop.


Day 12:                  Trek to Dharamsala / Larkya phedi 4,460 m – 04 hrs

A short day to Larkya phedi or Dharmasala, after a nice stop at Samdo village, crossing an icy stream then heading towards more dry barren area, trek today is not that hard except for rapid altitude gain and then with few short ups and downs to complete the morning walk at Larkya phedi, meaning base of the hill or pass, afternoon free at leisure for short hike.


Day 13:                                  Cross Larkya la 5,135m and to Bimthang 3,720 m – 08 hrs.

Starting early morning to reach at the top of Larkya-la pass at 5,135 m, strenuous and long climb overlooking awesome scenery of surrounding hills and valley with Mt. Manaslu, Larkya peak, Bouddha Himal, Himalchuli and of Peak 29, after a steep climb reaching top of the pass, festooned with Buddhist prayer flags and stunning views, after a rest enjoying the scenery, a long descend reaching forested area to Bimthang for overnight stop after a hard day walk.


Day 14:                                  Trek to Gho 2,560 m – 05 hrs

After a tough walk of previous day, today a leisure and easy walk downhill most of the way to Gho, located in middle of forest, walk enters through woodlands of rhododendron, pines and oaks tree lines passing several farm shades to reach at Gho for overnight stop.


Day 15:                 Trek to Dharapani 1,860 m – 06 hrs.
From Gho with a wonderful stop in the midst of lovely forest, morning walk is much easier on downhill path most of the way to Manang area at Telje village by the Marsyangdi River, after this village an hour climb brings you at Dharapani a large village with many fine lodges on Annapurna Circuit trekking trail.

Day 16:                 Trek to Chamje village 1,360 m – 05 hrs.

With pleasant overnight at Dharapani village in the comfort of nice lodge, walk leads downhill crossing over Marsyangdi River and heading towards Talbesi which is the last village of Manang area, from here walk on a winding gradual path for some time and then cross over Marsyangdi River to Chamje village, situated in Lamjung district area. At Chamje with last overnight on the high hills of Mid West Himalaya around Lamjung district transfer in a nice cozy lodge.


Day 17:                 Drive back to Kathmandu via Beshishar – 07 hrs.

The last day in the Himalayan countryside, morning drive leads downhill passing villages of Jagat, Syange, Nagdi, Bulbule following Marsyangdi River all the way to Besishar a large town and a headquarter of Lamjung district. From here a few hours’ drive brings at Dumre on Pokhara /Kathmandu highway and then another 3-4 hours drive brings you back in Kathmandu, after a remarkable time around Manaslu with Foot and Shadows Walking Holiday Tours excellent services.

Day 18:                  Depart Kathmandu for international flight homeward bound.
Last day in amazing Nepal, after a wonderful time around Manaslu trekking with grand services of Foot and Shadow Walking Holiday Tours, as per your international flight reporting time, our staff transfers you to airport for your onward flight homeward bound or to next respective countries.
