Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel
Day 02: In Kathmandu with sightseeing tour at places of interest.
Day 03: Fly to Lukla 2,830 m & trek to Phakding 2,640 m – 04 hrs.
Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazaar 3,440 m – 05 hrs.

Day 05: Rest day at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization and excursion.

Day 14: Trek to Thyangboche – 05 hrs.
Day 15: Trek to Monjo 2,860m – 06 hrs.
Day 16: Trek to Lukla – 04 hrs.
Day 17: Fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to respective hotels.
Day 18:  In Kathmandu free day for individual activities.
Day 19:  International departure for home ward bound.

Day 01:                  Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
On reaching at Kathmandu international airport via respective airlines and countries, received by Foot and Shadow Walking Holiday staff and transfer to hotel in the heart of Kathmandu city, after getting refreshed our guide will brief with information on hotel, culture, do’s and don’ts, Gokyo Lake to Everest Base Camp trekking with welcome dinner.

Day 02:                 Sightseeing tour and trek preparation.
After breakfast our city guide take you on sightseeing tour at places of interest as Kathmandu valley full of world heritage sites with temples, monasteries, Stupa and old king’s palace after an enjoyable interesting tour back to hotel, preparation for Gokyo Lake to Everest Base Camp trekking.

Day 03:                 Fly to Lukla 2,820 m & trek to Phakding 2,640 m – 04 hrs.
Morning a short drive to domestic airport for scenic flight to Lukla with views of mountains during 30 mins flight, at Lukla start the walk with downhill passing traditional Sherpa villages and farm lands to reach at Phakding for overnight stop near Dudh Kosi River

Day 04:                 Trek to Namche Bazaar 3,440 m – 05 hrs.
After Phakding walk beings to famous Namche Bazaar a major town of Khumbu region, as the walk leads on gradual path crossing river several time within pine and rhododendron forest.


On reaching entrance of Sagarmatha National Park at Monjo and towards the last village of Jorsalle and continue walk on river banks, and then a long climb leading at Namche Bazaar for overnight stops.


Day 05:                  Rest day at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization and excursion.
At Namche a necessary acclimatization and rest day, before heading higher altitude towards Everest base camp. Namche a moderate size village or a town with many shops, stores, banks and ATM with Cyber Café around, optional walk to Park museum with information of the area including grand vista of Mt. Everest and majestic Ama-Dablam peak.


For energetic people can take a hike to Everest View hotel, Khumjung and Khunde village located on the glacial valley beneath holy Khumbi-la peak (patron of Khumbu Sherpa’s)


Day 06:                 Trek to Dole 4,110m – 06 hrs.
From Namche on the trail to Gokyo, first hour walk is easy and moderate till it joins the main trail at Kyangima near Shanasa, chances of seeing some wildlife round this area colorful Danphe pheasant (Impeyan Pheasant) National bird of Nepal and the elusive musk deer, and sometime even herd of Himalayan Thar (mountain goat). From here our route diverts towards north with a slow climb to the ridge at Mong 3,973 meters.


After Mong the path descends with series of switchbacks to Dudh Kosi at Phortse Thanghka.  From here continue to Dole, the path ascends through a patch of rhododendron forest then gives way to juniper and conifers trees then to Tongba village at 3,950m and Gyele 3,960m and finally reaching at Dole for the overnight halt with striking view of Khumbila and Tawache 6,542m.


Day 07:                 Trek to Machherma 4,470m-04 hrs.
After Dole, journey continues along the side of the valley on a moderate level trail for an hour to Lhabarma Kharka at 4,325 m and to Luza at 4,390m; then skirting around the ridge line with first glimpse of Machherma, situated in the valley, then finally reaching at Machherma for lunch and overnight stop after a good scenic walk, afternoon free for acclimatization for short hike for views of Mt. Cho Oyo 8,210m and all the mountains that flank the Ngozumba Glacier.

Day 08:                 Trek to Gokyo 4,800m -04 hrs.
Walk from here leads to Gokyo Lake following trail to Pangka then climbing a rocky path into ablation valley passing first lake and second lake, to reach third lake also called Dudh Pokhari near Gokyo  a small settlement of more than 20 lodges at 4,790 meters, after lunch a short hike for acclimatization around the lake, with views of world’s 06th highest Mt. Cho Oyo and Gyachung Kang.

Day 09:                  At Gokyo hike to GokyoRi 5,357m and trek to Thaknak 4,750m – 04 hrs.
Morning hike to GokyoRi 5,357m one of the highlight of this trip offering panorama of world highest peaks
Mt. Cho Oyo, Gyachung Kang, Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Cholatse, Taweche and to the east Mt. Makalu.

After a great time descend back to Gokyo for lunch and then walk for few hours to Thaknak on the base of Chugyuma or Tsho-la pass at the foot of Ngozumba glacier.

Day 10:                 Cross Tsho-la 5,367m and trek to Dzongla 4,830 m -07 hrs.
Early morning a step ascend towards Cho-la pass (spelled as well Thso-la) walk leads over rocky moraine, in snow condition this will be tough job to find the path, however in dry time walk leads on rubble with moraine then reaching at the top hidden by Cholatse, Nirekha and Taboche peaks, after a hard and scenic climb to the top, and then descend to a small valley at Dzong-la for overnight stop.

Day 11:                 Trek to Lobuche 4,940 m – 05 hrs.
After pleasant overnight at Dzongla, morning walk follows uphill for an hour and then a nice pleasant leading to near Thugla (Dugla) located by the junction of Pheriche, Dingboche and Cho la pass to Everest Base Camp & Kalapathar. From here a gradual walk to Lobuche for overnight.


Day 12:                 Trek to Gorakshep 5,170 m and Everest Base Camp 5,364 m and return to Gorakshep – 06 hrs.

Today walk leads to our target and destination at Everest Base Camp, walk leads with gentle up for few hours then a short climb to Gorakshep walking on glacier and moraine, on reaching Gorakshep located beneath lofty Mt. Pumori and black hill of Kalapathar.

Form here walk continues to Everest Base Camp above Khumbu glacier and near Khumbu Ice Fall, on reaching base camp catch the fantastic views with exciting moment and then back to Gorakshep for overnight stop.

Day 13:                 Hike to Kalapathar5,545 m trek to Pheriche 4,240m – 05 hrs.
Early morning climb on top of Kalapathar at 5,545 m, this will be the highest point of the adventure with awesome views of snowcapped peaks, includes Mt. Everest at close distance.

After great scenery descend to Gorakshep for breakfast and continue return trek to Thugla, here onwards on new route to Pheriche valley, can be windy in the afternoon after a nice pleasant walk reaching at Pheriche for overnight stop.


Day 14:                 Trek to Thyangboche – 05 hrs.

Return journey to Thyangboche on losing altitude every hour and then, downhill walk with few short ups to Pangboche and to a bridge, with climb of few hours to Thyangboche and back into tree lines at Thyangboche for overnight stop and visit this interesting monastery with monks, priest on prayer and religious activities with grand vista of Everest, Ama-Dablam and surrounding peaks in peaceful green forest surrounding.

Day 15:                 Trek to Monjo 2,860m – 06 hrs.
After a grand time around high mountains of Khumbu, walk descend with a climb for an hour to Sanasa, from here a gradual path with short ups and downs to reach Namche Bazaar, after a break here walk back to Dudh Kosi river valley and to overnight stop at Monjo village near Sagarmatha National Park gate.

Day 16:                 Trek to Lukla – 04 hrs.

Morning walk on a pleasant trail most of the way to reach at Phakding, and then with last climb for an hour to Lukla, at Lukla celebrate last night with fellow trekkers and staff including porters.
Day 17:                 Fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to respective hotels.
From Lukla taking an early morning flight back to Kathmandu with views of mountains, on reaching Kathmandu airport, FSHT staff transfers you back to hotel around Thamel area with rest of the day free at leisure.


Day 18:                  In Kathmandu free day with sightseeing tour.
We reserve this day as contingency (spare day), in case of flight delay and cancellation due to bad weather which might happen sometimes, as the Himalayan weather can be unpredictable, if all goes well have a free day or one can book for short sightseeing tour around Kathmandu-Patan and Bhaktapur.


Day 19:                  Depart Kathmandu for international flight homeward bound.
Last day in amazing Nepal, after a wonderful time Gokyo Lake to Everest Base Camp trekking with grand services of Foot and Shadow Walking Holiday Tours, as per your international flight departure and reporting time, our guide and staff transfer you to airport for your onward flight homeward bound or to next respective countries.
