Annapurna Semi Circuit & Tilicho Lake trekking a combination of scenic walks with tremendous cultural variation, starting from lower warm Hindu area to high Buddhist country of Tibetan origin.

This wonderful trek leads to high Manang valley with tremendous views of mountains of Annapurna II-III-IV, Gangapurna, Tilicho , Pisang and Chulu peaks, after a rest day at Manang with acclimatization heading towards remote areas at Tilicho Lake with amazing scenery.

From here heading towards high Thorang-la pass and to Jomsom town through holy Muktinath to conclude this awesome Annapurna Semi Circuit & Tilicho Lake trek at Jomsom the headquarter town of Mustang area.

From here a scenic short flight to popular touristic Pokhara city, where the Annapurna Mountains reflects on its pristine Phewa / Begnas Lakes.

Day 01:            Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Day 02:            In Kathmandu with sightseeing tour at places of interest.

Day 03:            Drive to Jagat 1,290 m via Beshishar 800 m – 08 hrs.

Day 04:            Trek to Dharapani 1,920 m – 05 hours.

Day 05:            Trek to Chame 2,670 m – 05 hours.

Day 06:            Trek to Pisang 3, 230 m – 05 hrs.

Day 07:            Trek to Manang Village 3,450 m – 05 hrs.

Day 08:            Rest day at Manang for local hikes and acclimatization.

Day 09:            Trek to Khangsar 3,734 m – 04 hrs.
Day 10:            Trek to Tilicho Lake 4,140 m – 03 hrs.
Day 11:            Trek to Shri-Kharka 3,640 m – 04 hrs.

Day 12:            Trek to Yak Kharka4,110 m – 04 hours.

Day 13:            Trek to Thorong High Camp 4,600 m – 04 hrs.

Day 14:            Cross Thorong-La 5,416 m and to Muktinath 3,800 m – 07 hrs.

Day 15:            Trek to Jomsom 2, 715 m – 04 hours.

Day 16:            Fly from Jomsom to Pokhara 860 m – 22 mins flight.

Day 17:            Drive or fly back to Kathmandu.

Day 18:            International departure for home ward bound.

Day 01:            Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
On reaching at Kathmandu international airport via respective airlines and countries, received by Foot and Shadow Walking Holiday staff and transfer to hotel in the heart of Kathmandu city, after getting refreshed our guide will brief with information on hotel, culture, do’s and don’ts and Annapurna Circuit trekking with welcome dinner.

Day 02:            Sightseeing tour and trek preparation.
After breakfast our city guide will take you on sightseeing tour at places of interest as Kathmandu valley full of world heritage sites with temples, monasteries, stupa’s and old king’s palace after an enjoyable interesting tour back to hotel, preparation for the trek to Annapurna Circuit trekking.

Day 03:            Drive to Jagat 1,290 m via Beshishar 800 m – 08 hrs.

Morning with interesting and scenic long drive towards Nepal mid west, journey leads to Beshishar town then on the dirt road to Khudi, Bhulbhule and Ngadi following the Marsyangdi River upstream, drive continues through rice terraces fields and villages to Syange, from here with a slow climb leaving the Marsyangdi River behind to reach first overnight stop at Jagat village, a farm village with many lodges for trekkers.

Day 04:            Trek to Dharapani 1,920 m – 05 hours.

From Jagat village morning walk leads on a gradual winding path to Chamje, and back at Marsyangdi River to crossing on the eastern bank and into forested area, with superb views of Annapurna and Manaslu mountain ranges, as the walk advances on the wide path to a nice village of Tal Besi, Here for lunch break, and then another 2-3 hours walk leads at Dharapani village for overnight stop, Dharapani a nice village situated on the junction of Annapurna circuit and Manaslu trekking trail.

Day 05:            Trek to Chame 2,670 m – 05 hours.

After Dharapani walk along the wide winding trail into serene rhododendron and pine forest passing villages of Bagachap and Danque, then to  Timang village from here onwards into more Buddhist culture village with grand view of Mt. Manaslu 8,163m / 26,781ft, from Timang village few hours trek leads to Koto and then to Chame town for overnight stop, Chame a large and major town of Manang area and as well a head quarter of Manang district.

Day 06:            Trek to Pisang 3, 230 m – 05 hrs.

From here onwards the air gets cooler and fresh as the walk leads close to mountains, morning walk leads through enchanting alpine forests of rhododendron and pine trees, following the Marshyangdi River upstream with short ups and down hills to Bhratang village. From Bhratang village walk follows uphill through alpine woodland to Dhukure Pokhari a small place with few teahouses and lodge overlooking Chulu’s and Pisang peak, with a lunch break here, walk descends to lower Pisang village for overnight stop.

Day 07:            Trek to Manang Village 3,450 m – 05 hrs.

Pisang village offers great scenery of mountains and surrounding landscapes, from here altitude gains as the morning walk leads through forest and with a short uphill with super views of staggering Annapurna II and III, Gangapurna Chulu’s and Pisang peak. As the walk reach flat valley at Hongde village, from here onward tree lines disappear for barren, arid landscapes with cold, dry arctic climate. Before Manang, visit old Braga monastery with old Buddhist relics, ancient wall painting and frescos and stunning views of Annapurna Himalaya, from here an hour walk reaches at Manang village.

Day 08:            Rest day at Manang for local hikes and acclimatization.

An important and necessary rest day to get acclimatize before heading higher elevation and to Thorang-la pass, in Manang short hike and explore Manang village and valley, Manang a large village situated on windswept valley at the bank of Marsyangdi River beneath Annapurna and Gangapurna mountain range, a nice walk uphill for views of Gangapurna Glacier and the Manang emerald Lake.

Day 09:            Trek to Khangsar 3,734 m – 04 hrs.

After Manang trek towards Tilicho Lake with overnight at Khangsar village, a short scenic  walk to Khangsar, few hours of nice trek leaving the main Annapurna circuit trail behind, heading south in remote areas away from mainstream trekking route, overlooking fantastic views of mountains, walk finally reaches to Khangsar village for overnight stop.

Day 10:       Trek to Tilicho Lake 4,140 m – 04 hrs.

A half day walk starting towards barren country, after a descend of few hours then our route heads uphill on the dry terrain, after a nice walk reaching at picturesque emerald Tilicho Lake, regarded as holy lake for Buddhist and Hindu’s, this wonderful place with few lodges by shore of Tilicho Lake, afternoon relax and enjoy the surrounding beautiful scenery of the Lake changing its colors with the sunlight. This lovely place surrounded by staggering Tilicho Peak with views of Annapurna III and Gangapurna mountains.
Day 11:            Trek back to Shri-Kharka 3,640 m – 04 hrs.
After an amazing time around Tilicho Lake return journey to Jomsom as the morning walk leads towards a small settlement at Shir-Kharka for overnight stop before joining the main Annapurna circuit trail.

Day 12:            Trek to Yak Kharka4,110 m – 04 hours.

After a good time at Manang and Tilicho Lake, morning adventure leads towards Khangsar village on the uphill path to Yak Kharka, an interesting high altitude walk with super scenery of the snowcapped mountains, then crossing the river to reach Yak Kharka a small settlement, offering tremendous views of Gangapurna, Annapurna III and Chulu Peaks.

Day 13:            Trek to Thorong High Camp 4,600 m – 04 hrs.

Morning walk advances around high area, heading closer to the base of Thorang-la as the walk leads to cross a bridge and then a climb along the river bank of Jarjung, as the walk leads at Thorung Phedi, here depending upon the physical conditions of the clients, if all goes well an hour steep climb to Thorang High Camp for overnight stop.
Day 14:            Cross Thorong-La 5,416 m and to Muktinath 3,800 m – 07 hrs.

Big Day! the highlight of this great adventure, after an early breakfast walk leads to a long climb up to Thorang-la with a steep terrain and winding path to Thorung La Pass at 5,416 m / 17,700 ft.The highest point of this adventure offering super views of snowcapped peaks, and then a long descend to Muktinath at 3,800 m. On reaching Muktinath for overnight stop, a holy place for both Hindus and Buddhists the word Muktinath literally means ‘the place for Nirvana or Liberation’.

Day 15:            Trek to Jomsom 2, 715 m – 04 hours.

After Muktinath rest of the journey will be easier with moderate walks all the way to Jomsom as the walk drops to 1,200m downhill to Kaligandaki river valley, this pleasant trail reaching the vast Kaligandaki river valley with a small break at Ekalebhatti. From here gets windy in the afternoon time, a few hours walk to Jomsom, headquarter of Mustang region with an airstrip located above Kaligandaki River. Here at Jomsom with last night in the mountain village, celebrate with local apple products like cider, brandy and juice this area from Kagbeni to Marpha & Larjung famous for delicious apple and its product.

Day 16:            Fly from Jomsom to Pokhara 860 m – 20 mins flight.
Early breakfast and transfer to Jomsom airport for sweeping short flight of 25 minutes to Pokhara, during airborne spectacular views of Dhaulagiri, Nilgiris and Annapurna range of mountains with rolling hills dotted with farm villages, On reaching Pokhara airport transfer to respective hotels by the serene lake Phewa, afternoon free for individual activities or just relax and enjoy the views of the Annapurna Himalaya.

Day 17:            Drive to Kathmandu.
Morning a drive to Kathmandu after a wonderful experience on Annapurna Circuit trekking, on reaching Kathmandu transfer to respective hotels with afternoon free at leisure for individual activities and shopping.

Day 18:            Depart Kathmandu for international flight homeward bound.
Last day in amazing Nepal, after a wonderful Annapurna Semi Circuit & Tilicho Lake trekking with great services of Foot and Shadow Walking Holiday Tours, as per your international flight departure and reporting time, our guide and staff transfer you to airport for your onward flight homeward bound or to next respective countries.
